Refund/exchange/cancellation and Privacy Policies

Overall this is how it works. We want you to be happy. If you need to return something we want to be able to sell it to someone who does want it and we want to make you happy. This process is easiest if done within 30 days of purchase. It’s awkward when we get a call and someone just opened a kit they got for their birthday LAST year and the yeast is expired, and they want to return it.  Always open and inspect your shipment upon arrival. Always call us first to find out how to handle questions you have with your shipment. We’re friendly and we want to make it right.



We will gladly replace or exchange any defective, or mis-shipped, items upon return of the defective item. In some cases the item might not need to be returned. We will work to get you what you need. Please call the store first so that we can help make it right.



Sometimes an item gets ordered that has been discontinued or is, for whatever reason, just no longer available. If there is nothing that you want that we can substitute in it’s place we can issue you a refund or store credit. Feel free to return items unopened and in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Please call the store first so that we can help make it right.



Orders can easily be cancelled if they have not been picked up by the shipping company. Once picked up we get charged for the shipping and then it gets complicated. Please call the store the moment you want to cancel so that we can help make it right. DO NOT leave a message, DO NOT email, DO NOT fax or send a telegram or carrier pidgeon. Some days are really busy and we may not get a chance to check messages until after the shipping is picked up. Please, please, please make sure you talk to a person.


Order Shipping Times

UPS picks up, and orders are shipped out, Monday through Friday (except holidays or inclement weather). Orders placed before noon are shipped the same day, assuming it’s a day they pickup.  Orders placed after noon are shipped the next pickup day.  If you need something expedited then call the store 636-230-8277 and we will do our best to get it out.

USPS picks up as we open Monday through Saturday.  Orders almost always go out the next pickup day.

Pickup at the Store orders can be placed in advance but aren’t generally checked after noon.  These orders should be placed at least 24 hours in advance to prevent waiting.  Calling could also help get it expedited.


Shipping charges

Shipping charges will be refunded if the exchange/refund/return/cancellation is a result of an error by St. Louis Wine & Beermaking, LLC, or if you can convince the shipping company to refund us the cost of shipping.



Delayed Items

Exchange/refund/return/cancellation items more than 30 days after purchase may be issued as store credit.
